The Specialized Fuse Comp doesn’t shy away from being put through its paces on the trails – equipped with some seriously hardy components, this hardtail MTB is a true workhorse.
The lightweight M4 aluminium Fuse Comp frame comes fitted with in-house Stout 29er wheels – rolling quickly over loose terrain and maintaining traction with all-day comfort thanks to the wide 2.6” tyre’s ability to run at a lower PSI, taking any obstacles in its stride. Optimised for 29” wheels but more than capable of accommodating 27.5”, the Fuse is a truly versatile steed. Specialized’s updated geometry optimises the Fuse’s ride characteristics and weight distribution: the slack head tube offering stability on fast and technical trails whilst the steeper seat tube retains a powerful seated climbing position.
Punching well above its weight, the Fuse Comp boasts a TranzX dropper post as standard alongside the air-sprung RockShox Recon RL suspension fork, soaking up whatever you can throw at it. Shimano’s 12-speed Deore groupset offers a wide range of gears, set up with a massive 11-51t cassette in a 1x configuration that is ideal for scaling steep ascents. Coming to a stop is just as important as going fast, so the Fuse Comp delivers confidence-inspiring stopping power with the ever-reliable Shimano M4100 hydraulic disc brakes.
